The time it takes to install solar panels depends on the size of your system and whether you include battery storage. A standard installation without batteries usually takes one day, while adding batteries extends it to one or two days.
With Heatforce, you get a seamless solar experience. We handle everything – administration, installation, and exceptional aftercare support. Our skilled, insured, and rigorously vetted installers prioritise your home and guide you through the entire solar process.
Forget that myth! Solar panels are photovoltaic devices, meaning they generate electricity from ambient sunlight—not just direct, intense sun. That's why your system can still produce energy on cloudy days, in partial shade, and during early mornings or late afternoons. While output is lower in these conditions, modern solar technology is designed to capture available light throughout the day, helping you make the most of every hour of sunlight.
Yes – in more ways than one.
The installation itself comes with a 2-year, insurance-backed warranty by HIES. In the unlikely event of an issue, simply get in touch with us and it will be resolved quickly. Your deposit is also protected, giving you additional peace of mind.
In addition, the AIKO Neostar 2S 465W solar panels are built for long-term reliability and come with a 25-year product warranty and an impressive 30-year linear performance warranty, ensuring dependable energy generation for decades. Thanks to advanced N-Type ABC cell technology, the panels also feature minimal performance degradation (≤1% in the first year and ≤0.35% annually thereafter).
The feed-in-tariff has ended, but a similar program called the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) is now in place. With SEG, you'll receive payments for surplus solar energy you sell back to the grid. When also pairing your solar system with our AlphaESS Battery, you can maximise your export earnings with Octopus Energy's Intelligent Flux Tariff

Good news! In most cases, you can install solar panels without needing planning permission. The exception is if you live in a listed building or a conservation area – then you'll need to check with your council.
First, you'll get a quote online using our mapping tool.
This will tell you how many panels can fit on your roof, and show you some estimated savings and also how much you can make.
Then, if wish to enquire further, we'll complete a full MCS design of your system, showing panel placements and nailing down your savings.
